The wedding night is perhaps the most sacred occasion of your union. But are you guilty of committing the 7 Deadly Sins on that blessed night? Most couples are and probably didn’t even realize it. Take the test here and find out how many of them you committed:
Most couples hardly get the chance to eat anything during the ceremony. You may have been too nervous. Or maybe you did not want to ruin your make up, or stain that hired wedding gown. The result is you go crazy on your wedding night, ordering in buckets of food from room service or takeout. The hunger games take centre stage and you both eat and drink yourself into a stupor. If this GLUTTONY is reminiscent of your wedding night, you can check this off your 7 Deadly Sins list.
It’s been a long and tiring day, your feet hurt and all you want to do is sleep. You escape from your wedding reception to the hotel room, throw off that wedding gown and jump into bed. Your guests await you at the evening party, but you don’t care. Your hotel has a nice spa and pool, but you don’t care. Your groom has plans to get naughty, but you don’t care. You drift off to sleep at 8pm on your wedding night! You, my dear, are guilty of SLOTH.
Some of your wedding vendors didn’t deliver what they promised. Or the best man made an inappropriate joke in his toast. Perhaps your guests refused to follow instructions and brought rowdy kids to the reception. Oh, and did your groom’s sister wear a flowing white gown to YOUR wedding? On your wedding night, did you go ballistic and let everyone have it for ruining your big day? Did you yell, threaten and curse them out? Congratulations, you are guilty of WRATH.
Were you secretly wishing you had a limousine drop you off at your event like Sally had? Are you sort of irritated by how your best maid was complimented for her glowing skin while you had to deal with a skin breakout? Did you overhear a guest say your wedding gown was simple and elegant and you went green with ENVY because the same guest described your sister’s gown as stunning?
On your wedding night, you sat in your deluxe hotel room whining to the groom about how the penthouse suite has a stunning view and Jacuzzi. You then expressed disappointment when he revealed you were going to honeymoon in Zanzibar, despite your several hints at how Greece is beautiful in the summer. Oh, you GREEDY bride, you.
Did you gloat about how expensive your wedding décor was to the guests at your evening party? Did you tweet photos of yourself on your wedding night with hashtags like #HotelKempinskiThings, #VeraWangWeddingGown and #poppingchampagne? Maybe you refused to make out with hubby so your expensive makeup would last till the next day. PRIDE is your Deadly Sin.
We saved the best for last, because almost every couple is guilty of this one. According to Wikipedia, ‘Lust is an emotion or feeling of intense desire in the body’. You know you are guilty. The couple next door called to complain about the noise from your hotel room. The wedding photographer caught you groping each other at the evening party. You even had to pay extra because you checked out of your room late the next day. Your insatiable LUST was your Deadly Sin.
