It is possible that every bride had a sweet tooth at some point in their lives, and could easily pick out a nice cake from a bakery. However, the same cannot necessarily be said about a bride struggling with the rigors of picking out a wedding cake. The dynamics are worlds apart. It might even surprise you that a vast majority of brides-to-be have never picked out a wedding cake before.
Even with an entire wedding plan in place, choosing the cake still remains one of those primal tasks that every bride must put in her two cents worth. So is the cake colour of any significance to the whole wedding planning process? Cake City wedding cake bakers explain..
There is this common question that plagues the mind of many a bride, “is it necessary that my cake matches my wedding colours”
There are many cake attributes that should boggle your mind, but the colour should be the least of your worries. It is okay to colour match, but you should probably limit it to the colour of your décor. Simple colours such as ivory or white will probably do, the most important aspect is the taste. Matching colours or not, the cake should look appetizing.
Even though we recommend that every bride should go for a bold colour scheme, bright blue or orange frosting on a cake might not be so appealing or appetizing to many of your guests. Natural flavours such as berries work better than food colouring for frosting.
