As special as your wedding day is, it is perfectly normal that you desire to have everything go as planned. Most brides however get caught up with what is happening around them during their wedding which may result in the day being the complete opposite of what they expected. Below are five things that you should put on your ‘Not To Do List’ if you want to enjoy your big day to the maximum.
A lot of things will be happening during your special day and you should keep this in mind when scheduling activities that you will personally handle. Avoid over-scheduling as this might make your special day stressful and things may not go as planned. Get a wedding planner or delegate activities among trusted members of your planning team and keep your activities at a minimum.
Obsessing Over Little Details
Every bride wants her wedding day to be perfect. This does not mean that you should obsess over every little detail that may come up during this day. Just sit back and relax and trust that the wedding planner gets everything to go as planned. You do not want to spend this day running around trying to fix everything or fussing about the few details that are not to your liking. You will have the chance to square things out with disappointing vendors after the event
Trying New Beauty Products
Your wedding day is not the time to try out new beauty products you just heard of. Get a professional to help you select the right products, no matter how knowledgeable you think you might be. Every bride wants to look good during this day but experimenting may lead to disasters. Also, make sure you have the make-up artist around, or at least a DIY make-up kit as you may need some touching up later.
It’s normal for most brides to forget to take care of their stomachs during their special day. This is not a wise thing to do considering that you will be spending most of the day on your feet. You need energy to stay active during your wedding day so food is a must. Breakfast is especially important in this case as you are never sure if or when you will get time to sit down and eat later on.
Drinking Too Much
Just because there is alcohol and you paid for it doesn’t mean you have to drink your money’s worth. If you choose to indulge, have just enough to relax and enjoy your day. You do not want to be that bride who pukes all over the dance floor later on in the evening. Apart from this, you also want to wake up the following morning in one piece remembering all the events of your big day.
