Decisions, decisions, decisions! The amount of thinking that has to go into designing a wedding cake can be frustrating. The first of course involves settling on a baker who’s guaranteed to deliver the vision that the couple has in mind, one like Sweet Inspirations.
Then comes round two. Granted, most people, especially women love the idea of coming up with a wedding cake concept on paper and watching it materialize. Tasting different cake flavors is a task that most of us can volunteer for. But then again, it can get quite overwhelming.
What happens when you cannot decide on two flavors? Should you panic if you are stuck on more than one color? Or what if you have a variety of designs floating through your mind and you don’t want to sacrifice one for the other?
One alternative that would fix the problem is having more than one cake. We see this often in weddings. There is that one cake that sticks out from the rest. It has its own personality and you can tell that the couple had to have it included.
However, the latest trend today is having a double faced work of art. A Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde kind of cake version. Who says you cannot have the best of both worlds? Cannot decide on whether to choose chocolate over vanilla? Have them both. Want a traditional cake with a flair of modernity? Have them both.
Besides the creative aspect, another reason to go halfsies is to ensure that both his and her individual tastes are catered for. There’s no reason his annoying passion for comic books cannot be represented. And in the same way, her admiration for Cinderella can be portrayed. This way, any quarrels and disagreements can be squashed and everyone remains happy. Besides, isn’t marriage all about meeting in the middle?
