The first date is a very critical step in any relationship. And for most people, you can tell at the end of the date whether you want to see that person for a second date or not.
First dates are nerve-wrecking for the girls as much as they are for the guys especially if you met online. It’s always a make it or break it stage for most ladies. To help you make a great impression, below is a little first date advice that every lady should read.
- Dress decently
You don’t have to show too much skin for a guy to like you, especially if you are meeting him for the first time. Be stylish but don’t overdo it. Get all the details about your date. Know where you are going, or at least what you’ll be doing; you do not want to show up in heels for a hike.
- Keep the phone away
Ever tried having a conversation with someone who is glued to their phone? It shows your lack of interest and disrespect to the other person. Appreciate the fact that this person took their time to be with you and keep your phone away. Just spare a few hours and get to know this person. You might be surprised when he turns to be your “Mr. Right”
- Eat your food
If your date took time to invite you to a fine restaurant, be grateful and order something you’ll eat. Girls have a tendency to leave half their meal on the plate. This can appear to be the rudest thing ever. Well, unless he took you to a horrible place.
- Cancel Your Movie Plans
Movies are great, no doubt. But on a first date with someone you barely know it is not the best way to spend your night. Movie time is always about sitting quietly and enjoying the movie, chances are you will not get time to interact with your ‘partner’.
- Quit the Interrogation
It’s good to ask questions, don’t get me wrong. But then again don’t make your guy feel like he is in a job interview. Try as much as possible to create a fun experience for you and your date and don’t act like you have better things to do.
- Go alone
Please, do not bring your friends to your first date. It’s annoying, childish and a complete turn off. Am pretty sure if he wanted a group date, he would have told you to bring your friends.
- Have Fun
Last but not least, have fun. Forget the ‘Love at First Sight’ thing and let your date see that you are having fun. Do not kill his vibe by acting like you are better than him.
