“Ladies, if you knew how expensive pampers are, you would make yourself a hot cup of tea and cover yourself with the blood of Jesus.”
This status had me laughing, but not so hard after realizing how true it is. The cold season had single ladies shaking in their duvets and guys wishing they had been nicer in their past relationship. While the cold bites and the nights seem longer, many single people find themselves dialing those numbers you had sworn never to call. Others find themselves in compromising situations with people they had never had such a thought about. We all make mistakes, but why live the rest of your life regretting decisions made when you were not on your right mind. Yes, this cold is enough to numb your mind and hinder your thinking capacity.
Here are some of the things single guys and girls can do to avoid cold-induced-phone-dialing.
Catch up with the movies
Ladies, there are those chick flicks that you have never watched yet everyone talks about them. Catch up with them, even if the end is predictable at least enjoy the love story. Many will leave you feeling all mushy but will remind you that your romantic needs cannot be fulfilled by the guy you almost called. Oh, another good thing about watching the movies is that you can watch all covered, except your face.
If you are reader, and have not read for long due to work and time demands, now it is time. Read from Nicholas Sparks’ romantics to Stephen King’s horrors. A book you can enjoy while under cover and keeps your mind occupied. Before you are done with your collection, the cold season is over.
Try new recipes
The good thing about cooking is that the kitchen is heated by the cookers. The activities around the kitchen also make your body generate heat. Try out new recipes that you can always take pride in later. There are many cooking blogs and websites online where you can get ideas. After you serve yourself the well deserved meal, you can now curl up on the couch and catch up with the book or movie plus a hot chocolate.
These must sound like obvious things to do, but you will thank me later.
