Guests bring life to any wedding and things would not be the same if they were not around. This does not mean that they are free to do whatever they want whenever they want. You do not want to be that one person no one invites to their wedding. Below are the top five things you should not do at any wedding.
The wedding planner, bride and groom have their own reasons why everyone should sit where they have been allocated. This is not an easy thing to do as they have to consider a lot of things during the whole process.
With this in mind, you should not show up and start distracting everyone as you switch seats because for some reason you want to be close to someone. There is always time to mingle with friends and family you have not seen for a while, when it comes to sitting, stick to the plan.
Blocking the Photographer
In almost every wedding, there is usually a photographer to take the photos. You are free to show up with your camera or smartphone to take a few photos if you wish to do so. This does not mean that you jump in front of the photographer every time blocking their view of the proceedings. This should never happen especially during the special moment such as the first dance or cutting the cake. You do not want to deny the couple the best shots.
Hijacking The Speech Session
Time is very limited during most weddings and no one should waste it. This is especially true when people are giving speeches. If you have been asked to give a speech, be brief and to the point so as not to bore people. On the other hand, if you have not been invited, there is no need of giving spontaneous speeches as some couples don’t like many speeches or time may be very limited.
Eating and drinking too much
Yes, food is an important part of any wedding. This does not mean that you rush to the buffet table and pick everything you want. Keep in mind that there are other guests and take just enough food, you can always have a second helping if you need more. This should also be the case for drinks, especially alcoholic ones. If it is an open bar reception, do not abuse that by overindulging as no one likes drunk guests.
